70 and sunny… San Diego has a stellar reputation as a wedding destination—for lots of reasons, from its natural beauty and famous weather to the more than 60 miles of coastline. In addition to all its other assets, the San Diego Area is home to some of the most beautiful and welcoming places to get married, from beachfront properties and luxury ballrooms to lush gardens and historic parks. To help you kick off your search, I’ve put together a list of some of the best wedding venues the region has to offer.

Hotel Del Coronado

More than a hundred years after its gala opening, The Del, as it’s affectionately called, still reigns as the Grande Dame of the California coast. A National Historic Landmark, The Del’s stunning Victorian architecture commands 28 oceanfront acres. Over the years the resort has garnered an impressive array of awards and a legion of distinguished fans, including presidents, movie stars, and numerous celebrities. With such a stellar heritage, it’s not surprising that The Del also has its share of romantic history.

Prado at Balboa Park

The Prado at Balboa Park is a National Historic Landmark which was originally built for the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition. This two year festival was held in Balboa Park to promote San Diego and to celebrate the 1914 opening of the Panama Canal. In 2000, after a 3-year renovation, it reopened. The restored building’s architecture, artwork, sculptures, alcoves, gardens and fountains have been a wedding hotspot ever since.

The Pearl

The Pearl Hotel in Point Loma blends midcentury style with modern amenities. The Pearl’s interiors are outfitted in contemporary design, a contrast to its 60s architectural features. Whether you're looking for intimate or grand, indoors or out, this fun and funky venue has got you covered.

Grand Tradition

Beverly Mansion is an elevated reception space that overlooks Grand Tradition’s iconic heart-shaped lake and offers a wonderful indoor/outdoor setting. It’s adorned with crystal chandeliers, and glass-panel doors open to a veranda with a picturesque view of the lake. Couples exchange vows at the mansion’s lakeside gazebo or in front of the Compass Garden waterfall.
